Recent Apple device leaks revealed details about several unreleased products. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has now responded, adding weight to the findings. The leaks came after Apple mistakenly released a tool that exposed hardware identifiers for upcoming devices. These included new iPads, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, and more.

What the Apple Device Leaks Revealed

MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris discovered the identifiers in Apple’s code. The list of possible new hardware included:

  • A HomePod mini with an S9 chip or newer.
  • An Apple TV powered by the A17 Pro chip.
  • A Studio Display with an A19 Pro chip.
  • An iPad mini using the A19 Pro chip.
  • A low-cost iPad with an A18 chip.
  • A Vision Pro equipped with an M5 chip.
  • Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3 with the S11 chip.

These leaks suggest Apple plans a sweeping refresh across its ecosystem.

Gurman’s Response to the Apple Device Leaks

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman said the leaks line up with much of his own reporting. He confirmed that fresh Apple TV and HomePod mini models are due this fall. He also noted that new iPads are in development for next year, alongside updated monitors.

Regarding the Apple Vision Pro, Gurman added an important detail. While the code showed an M5 chip, he said Apple is still testing versions with the M4 chip. Both options remain possible. In his view, the upgrade will be minor either way. The current Vision Pro still runs on the M2 chip.

Why the Apple Device Leaks Matter

The Apple device leaks reflect Apple’s strategy of steady hardware updates. Core products such as the iPad mini, Apple TV, and Apple Watch continue to evolve, even as Apple invests in new categories.

For the Vision Pro, moving to an M4 or M5 chip would keep Apple’s mixed-reality headset competitive. Even modest changes show that Apple wants to maintain momentum in this new space. Meanwhile, the mention of updated displays proves Apple still values premium accessories that complement the Mac lineup.

Conclusion

Mark Gurman’s comments show that the Apple device leaks are consistent with credible reporting. While Apple has not confirmed any of these updates, the overlap suggests upcoming launches are close. With new iPads, refreshed wearables, and improvements to the Vision Pro, Apple’s next hardware cycle looks packed with updates that strengthen its ecosystem.
