The Motorola Razr Ultra Review proves that foldable phones have moved beyond novelty and into mainstream usability. With a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a stunning display, and improved durability, Motorola has delivered its strongest flip phone yet.

Design and Build Quality

The Razr Ultra carries Motorola’s signature clamshell design, refined with premium materials and a tougher hinge system. Its Titan-hinge provides smoother folding action and IP48 water resistance adds peace of mind. The exterior cover screen uses Gorilla Glass Ceramic, ensuring better scratch protection.

Motorola has kept the phone slim and lightweight, making it practical for daily use. The outer display is large enough for quick interactions, while the inner 6.9-inch AMOLED panel folds seamlessly with minimal crease visibility.

Display and Performance

The inner display supports a 165Hz refresh rate, delivering ultra-smooth scrolling and gaming. The external cover screen runs at 90Hz, ideal for notifications, selfies, and quick apps without flipping the phone open.

Performance is top-tier thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with 12GB RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Multitasking, gaming, and streaming all run flawlessly. Motorola’s clean software approach, based on Android 14, ensures minimal bloat and consistent speed.

Cameras

The Razr Ultra features a dual 50MP setup with AI-powered imaging enhancements. The main sensor produces sharp, vibrant images, while the ultrawide camera adds versatility. Night mode delivers clear low-light shots, though it still trails slightly behind Samsung’s foldable in extreme darkness. The cover display doubles as a high-quality viewfinder, making selfies sharp and professional.

Battery and Charging

With a 4,500 mAh battery, the Razr Ultra lasts comfortably through a full day of use. Motorola includes 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging, allowing quick top-ups. While heavy users may still need an evening charge, battery performance is stronger than previous Razr models.

Software and Features

Motorola integrates practical features like gesture controls, custom cover screen widgets, and “Ready For” desktop support. The cover screen runs apps smoothly, from navigation to social media, without needing the main display. Combined with Motorola’s lean software skin, the phone feels both polished and reliable.

The Motorola Razr Ultra Review shows a foldable that gets almost everything right. It combines elegant design, high performance, and practical features with competitive pricing in the premium foldable market. For users seeking a flip phone that balances style and functionality, the Razr Ultra stands out as Motorola’s best effort yet.
