OnePlus has expanded its Ace 5 lineup with two new models—OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing. These new devices continue the brand’s strategy of combining flagship-grade performance with competitive pricing. Despite their shared DNA, each offers a distinct set of features.
The Ace 5 Ultra is the most powerful MediaTek-based OnePlus phone to date. It runs on the Dimensity 9400+ chipset and features a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and enhanced resolution. Buyers can select from five RAM and storage configurations, starting with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and going up to 16GB RAM and 1TB. This variety allows users to find a version that fits their performance needs and budget.
The Ultra’s camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16 MP front-facing camera. While not camera-focused, it handles typical photography tasks well. A customizable side button adds convenience by offering quick access to frequently used tools like the torch, Night Mode, or the AI assistant.
Connectivity gets a boost thanks to the G1 chip, which improves Wi-Fi performance by 33%. Additionally, OnePlus includes a 7,300 sq.mm vapor chamber, ensuring stable temperatures during heavy use. Powering the phone is a 6,700 mAh battery with 100W fast charging and bypass mode. A 10-minute charge provides up to 3 hours of gaming, while a full charge completes in under 40 minutes.
The phone runs ColorOS 15 with in-house AI tools available in the Chinese market. It ships in Blue, Black, and Titanium Silver. Pricing starts at CNY 2,499 and peaks at CNY 3,799 for the 16GB/1TB variant.
In contrast, the Ace 5 Racing aims for balance and endurance. It is powered by the Dimensity 9400e chipset and offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Its 6.77-inch AMOLED screen maintains a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The rear camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP monochrome sensor, while the 16 MP selfie camera remains unchanged.
Unlike the Ultra, the Racing lacks the G1 chip but still offers a capable 7,000 sq.mm vapor chamber for cooling. Its standout feature is the 7,100 mAh battery, the largest ever in a OnePlus phone. It supports 80W fast charging along with bypass charging to reduce heat during use.
AI tools such as 4K video upscaling and object removal in photos enhance user experience. The phone also runs ColorOS 15 and is available in White, Black, and Mint Green. The base model, with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at CNY 1,799.
Currently, both phones are exclusive to the Chinese market. However, fans hope that OnePlus and Oppo might eventually launch these devices globally. Until then, the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and Racing offer compelling options for users seeking flagship features at accessible prices.
