The Galaxy Z Fold7 review reveals Samsung’s most ambitious foldable smartphone yet. This year’s model appears much more competitive than its predecessors. It succeeds even in diverse foldable markets like China and India. Despite a modest price increase to $2,000 in the US and €2,100 in Europe, the Galaxy Z Fold7 review shows compelling value.

Samsung faces growing competition in the premium foldable segment. However, the company feels most comfortable in the US market. Its only serious rival there is last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Google’s foldable offering falls short of the Samsung device. One UI works better for foldable experiences. Additionally, this year’s camera and design upgrades justify the extra cost. Nevertheless, potential buyers can wait for the next foldable Pixel this fall. Then they can decide if the Z Fold7 offers better value.

European markets present more competitive landscapes. Several worthy alternatives challenge Samsung’s dominance there. The Oppo Find N5 and newly announced Honor Magic V5 are excellent options. Interestingly, the Galaxy Z Fold now matches these rivals in portability. Actually, the Z Fold7 proves lighter and equally thin. Arguably, it features a better main camera too. However, it falls behind in telephoto capabilities.

Consumers should consider the Magic V5 for faster charging and more durable design. Higher ingress protection makes it appealing. Alternatively, the Oppo Find N5 offers faster charging and longer battery life. It works well for users planning to use a stylus regularly. Remember, the Z Fold7 removed S Pen support this year. Meanwhile, Indian markets gain the vivo X Fold5 as another option. It outperforms Samsung in charging and battery life. It also offers slightly better overall camera systems. However, the Z Fold7 fights back with a more powerful chipset.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 review highlights Samsung’s return to form in foldable innovation. Sure, some missteps remain concerning. Battery life could definitely improve significantly. Charging rates seem disappointingly slow compared to competitors. Additionally, Samsung omitted the popular S Pen feature. The telephoto camera delivers lackluster performance. Finally, there’s no Dolby Vision support for video enthusiasts.

However, the Z Fold7 excels in several key areas. It provides much better main camera performance. The ultrawide camera works nicely for landscape shots. Internal selfie capabilities improve significantly. Larger displays feature better aspect ratios. Samsung offers one of the thinnest and lightest designs available. These upgrades alone make the Z Fold7 easier to recommend than previous models. Moreover, the handset receives seven major OS upgrades. It launches with Android 16 already installed.

Samsung clearly performs better under competitive pressure. Recent years of rising competition have pushed innovation forward. The Galaxy Z Fold7 proves Samsung still leads in foldable technology. Despite some shortcomings, this device represents the company’s strongest foldable offering yet.

Key Advantages: The Galaxy Z Fold7 review highlights several improvements worth noting. Much improved, thin and lightweight design makes daily use easier. Bigger screens with better aspect ratios enhance viewing experiences. Excellent main camera performance delivers professional-quality photos. Improved selfie capabilities please social media users. Feature-rich software includes great multi-tasking functionality. Galaxy AI sits at the core of these features. The device launches with Android 16 and OneUI 8. Seven major OS upgrades ensure long-term support.

Areas for Improvement: However, the Galaxy Z Fold7 review identifies several drawbacks. Battery life could be substantially better for heavy users. Charging speed disappoints compared to competitors. The telephoto camera leaves more to be desired. Speakers seem slightly downgraded from previous models. Finally, the device no longer supports S Pen accessories.
