Belkin UltraCharge Pro review: Apple exclusive 25W charger

The Belkin UltraCharge Pro is one of the first chargers to fully adopt the Qi2.2 wireless standard, offering Apple-exclusive 25W fast charging for iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. After several weeks of testing, it stands out for its refined design, compact build, and efficient performance, though the price might make some buyers hesitate.

Design and Build Quality

The Belkin UltraCharge Pro feels instantly familiar for anyone who has used Belkin’s previous BoostCharge Pro lineup. It takes the sleek, silicone-coated 2-in-1 model and evolves it into a more mature 3-in-1 charger. The result is a premium accessory that feels well thought-out, from its curved surfaces to its polished metal arm that pivots for adjustable phone viewing angles.

The charger comes in two elegant finishes: dark charcoal and sand. Both blend seamlessly with Apple’s minimalist aesthetic. The rear arm houses an Apple Watch charger, positioned behind the phone stand for a cleaner front profile. The AirPods charging pad sits flat at the base and features a shallow circular divot that makes placement intuitive.

A particularly clever detail is the rotating AirPods pad. It can swivel to the left, right, or directly behind the main stand, locking into place with a satisfying click. This flexibility allows users to arrange their charging setup based on desk space or cable orientation. The cable itself is a non-removable braided USB-C cord, color-matched to the charger. While some may prefer detachable cables, Belkin’s integrated design gives the charger a sleeker look.

Charging Speed and Performance

The Belkin UltraCharge Pro supports the full 25W output of Qi2.2, which means it can deliver faster charging for the latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 models. Older iPhones remain limited to 15W, but still benefit from stable, efficient charging. The Apple Watch pad is certified for fast charging, while the AirPods charger provides 5W output.

Belkin includes a compact 45W gallium nitride (GaN) power adapter with collapsible prongs. This power brick, like the cable, is color-matched and impressively small compared to Apple’s previous chargers. GaN technology ensures reduced heat output and better efficiency in a compact form.

Unlike some 25W chargers that use fans for active cooling, the Belkin UltraCharge Pro employs Belkin’s ChillBoost passive cooling system. It operates completely silently while maintaining optimal temperatures. During testing, it charged an iPhone 17 Pro from 0% to 50% in roughly 30 minutes—consistent with Belkin’s claim. While chargers with active cooling may be marginally faster under load, the difference is negligible for everyday use.

Pricing and Availability

At $149, the Belkin UltraCharge Pro is available exclusively through Apple. That premium pricing positions it above Belkin’s own 25W 3-in-1 model with active cooling, which retails for $129. The main difference seems to lie in design and finish. The Apple-exclusive version emphasizes aesthetics, compactness, and high-end materials.

Compared to other Belkin chargers—like the foldable 3-in-1 for $99 or the 2-in-1 for $59—the UltraCharge Pro certainly costs more. However, its luxury design, flexible configuration, and advanced Qi2.2 charging justify the higher price for those who value form as much as function.

Verdict: Should You Buy the Belkin UltraCharge Pro?

Qi2.2 is still a young standard, and Belkin remains one of its most consistent supporters. The Belkin UltraCharge Pro combines a modern, minimalist design with reliable high-speed charging and quiet operation. It fits perfectly into an Apple ecosystem setup, offering performance that rivals competitors while maintaining Apple’s design sensibility.

The price is its only real drawback, but for Apple users who want a premium, all-in-one wireless charging experience, this model stands out as a strong contender. Its combination of speed, craftsmanship, and thoughtful engineering make it one of the best 25W chargers on the market today.

The Belkin UltraCharge Pro earns a solid 4 out of 5 rating for blending performance and design excellence, even if it carries the inevitable Apple premium.
