Tesla is reportedly developing an Apple Watch app that will function as a digital key for unlocking Tesla vehicles, as revealed by hidden code in a recent iPhone app update. Currently, this feature is only available through third-party Apple Watch apps, but Tesla has long allowed iPhones to be used as car keys.
The new Apple Watch app will bring official support for remote unlocking, enhancing convenience for Tesla owners. Although Elon Musk previously hinted at the possibility of an Apple Watch app earlier this year, it remains unclear when this new feature will be officially released.
