🧪 Performance & Software

Sony’s Snapdragon 8 Elite offers blistering performance and efficient thermal control. Built on a 3nm process, it handles 4K video recording, multitasking, and pro-level photo processing with ease.

Running Android 15, the Xperia 1 VII is free from bloatware and offers several pro-level custom apps for video, photo, and audio work. The Photo Pro, Cinema Pro, and Video Pro modes deliver an unmatched creator-centric experience.

📸 Camera System – Professional Versatility

The standout feature remains the continuous zoom telephoto lens, capable of shifting between 85mm and 170mm without switching cameras.

  • The 48MP ultrawide sensor is new and larger, improving low-light and macro shots.
  • The main sensor retains Sony’s signature natural tone color science.
  • The 12MP front camera now supports 4K at 60fps, a rare feature.

Video capture is pro-grade with 4K@120fps HDR across all rear lenses. The phone includes 5-axis gyro-EIS and OIS for ultra-stable results.

🔊 Audio and Display

The Xperia 1 VII’s 6.5″ 4K OLED panel continues to be the sharpest on the market. With HDR BT.2020 support and 120Hz refresh rate, it’s ideal for content creators and cinephiles.

The 3.5mm jack with a dedicated DAC and enhanced stereo speakers offer Hi-Res Audio and 360 Reality Audio, making it an audiophile’s dream.

🔋 Battery & Charging

  • 5000mAh battery lasts a full day of intensive use.
  • 30W wired charging gets you to 50% in 30 minutes.
  • Wireless and reverse wireless charging are supported but not exceptionally fast.

No charger or cable is included in the box—Sony’s continued push for sustainability.

📦 Unboxing

The Xperia 1 VII comes in a minimalist, recycled cardboard box. It includes:

  • No charger
  • No USB cable
  • No SIM ejector (tray can be opened by hand)

Retail units will include some paperwork, but our review unit came barebones.

📊 Benchmarks

  • AnTuTu 10: ~1,970,000
  • Geekbench 6 Multi-core: ~6,500
  • 3DMark Wild Life Extreme: ~3,300

Excellent sustained performance with very minimal throttling, even under stress tests.

🏁 Final Verdict – Bizmart Media Review

The Sony Xperia 1 VII is built for professionals—content creators, filmmakers, and audiophiles. It may not cater to the average consumer with its steep price and minimalist packaging, but it delivers where it matters most: display, camera, and audio.

Bizmart Media Rating:
4.3/5 – A Masterpiece for Power Users and Creators

The Review

Sony Xperia 1 VII

The Xperia 1 VII takes heavily after the Mark VI model and it will take some serious staring to spot the physical differences in the new model. The frame chamfer is now gone and some sensors have been shifted around, but that's about it - isn't tradition and continuity the most Sony thing ever?

PROS

  • Stunning 4K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate
  • Exceptional triple-camera system with continuous zoom
  • Powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with Wi-Fi 7
  • IP65/IP68-rated water resistance
  • 3.5mm headphone jack & stereo speakers

CONS

  • No charger or cable included in the box
  • Design barely changed from previous generation
  • Camera UI can feel complex to casual users
  • 30W charging speed feels outdated in 2025
