Xiaomi has rolled out an important HyperOS 3.0 update that addresses several camera issues affecting a number of its devices. The new HyperOS 3.0.6.2 update, which has already been made available for some users, fixes previously reported problems with the camera watermark and power consumption issues.

Fixed Issues for Xiaomi 15 and Redmi K70 Ultra

Xiaomi 15 smartphone users running the HyperOS 3.0.6.2 version reported frequent prompts and sensitive operation issues in certain conditions, which have now been resolved. Additionally, users faced abnormal power consumption during camera use. Fortunately, Xiaomi’s latest update has effectively resolved these issues, ensuring better performance for affected devices.

Meanwhile, Redmi K70 Ultra users with HyperOS 3.0.5.3 reported that their camera recordings would stop automatically when they enabled the flash. This issue has also been addressed in the latest update, ensuring a smoother recording experience.

Ongoing Workarounds for Other Xiaomi Devices

Beyond the camera fixes, Xiaomi has acknowledged additional issues affecting various other models and is working on solutions. The company is currently addressing the following concerns:

  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Users can’t change the lock screen wallpaper, and a black border often appears when editing the AOD (Always-On Display) interface.
  • Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: There is an issue with desktop gesture prompts immersion.
  • Xiaomi 17 Pro: The album widget sometimes restores images to the default settings automatically.
  • Xiaomi 15S Pro: USB exclusive access is not working correctly.
  • Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro: The sidebar flickers when opened during gameplay.
  • Redmi K70: The recent tasks widget disappears when swiping up to the background.

Conclusion

Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.0 update marks a significant improvement for users experiencing camera issues on their devices, with further fixes expected for other models in the near future. If you’re using an affected device, be sure to install the update to resolve these irritating bugs and improve your device’s overall performance.
