Global – Spotify has quietly introduced a redesigned user interface for Android tablets, offering users a more flexible and desktop-like listening experience. The update is already rolling out widely and does not require joining a beta program, making it immediately available to tablet users.

The most noticeable change is the addition of a media player panel on the right side of the screen. This player can be resized, similar to how Spotify works on desktop platforms, allowing users to adjust playback controls without disrupting browsing. As a result, multitasking on larger tablet screens feels smoother and more intuitive.

In addition, Spotify has added a new bottom navigation bar designed specifically for tablet use. The bar includes quick-access icons for Home, Search, Library, and Create, making it easier to move between key sections of the app. This layout mirrors familiar mobile navigation while taking better advantage of wider displays.

The updated Spotify UI improves overall usability, especially for users who rely on tablets for music discovery, playlists, and long listening sessions. Playback controls are now more accessible, and switching between browsing and listening feels more seamless.

Importantly, the update appears to be part of Spotify’s standard release cycle rather than an experimental build. Users with compatible Android tablets should receive the new interface automatically through regular app updates.

This quiet rollout reflects Spotify’s ongoing effort to refine its app experience across different screen sizes. While the changes may seem subtle, they represent a meaningful quality-of-life improvement for Android tablet users who want more control and flexibility when using the platform.
