Google’s Pixel 9a is set to launch earlier than expected, following the early release of the Pixel 9 family in August. According to new rumors, the Pixel 9a will be available for pre-order in mid-March 2025, which is around two months ahead of the typical release schedule for Google’s “a” series devices, which usually launch around Google I/O in May.
The phone is expected to be available in stores by the end of March and will come in color options such as Porcelain, Obsidian, Peony, and Iris. Additionally, reports suggest that Google may permanently shift the release cycle of the “a” series to March, meaning future models like the Pixel 10a could also follow this timeline.
In line with this earlier launch pattern, Android 16 is also rumored to arrive sooner than usual, potentially releasing before the end of June 2025.
