Global – HMD has teased a new pair of DUB series true wireless stereo earphones, signaling that its recently launched audio lineup is set to grow again. The company shared a preview image on X, sparking speculation about another feature-packed addition aimed at the competitive budget and mid-range audio market.
While HMD has not disclosed the official name or launch date, the teaser image suggests a design closely resembling the DUB X50 Pro, which debuted last month. The silhouette points to an in-ear form factor, reinforcing expectations that the upcoming model will follow the same ergonomic and practical approach seen across the DUB range.
The DUB X50 Pro, which serves as a clear reference point for the teased product, offers active noise cancellation, Hi-Fi DSP audio processing, and an IPX4 rating for splash resistance. These features position it as a balanced option for everyday use, combining durability with immersive sound. If the new model follows a similar path, users can expect comparable audio-focused upgrades.
Battery life has been one of the strongest selling points of the DUB series so far. The DUB X50 Pro delivers up to 60 hours of playback at moderate volume, thanks to 70mAh batteries in each earbud and a 600mAh charging case. This long endurance has helped HMD stand out in a crowded TWS market where battery performance remains a key buying factor.
Last month, HMD introduced several DUB series models, including the X50, S60, P70, P60, and P50. Each device targets a slightly different user segment, ranging from entry-level listeners to users seeking advanced noise cancellation and extended battery life. The teased earphones are expected to further strengthen this diversified lineup.
Although details remain limited, the teaser confirms HMD’s intention to maintain momentum in the wireless audio space. With competition intensifying, especially in affordable TWS categories, the upcoming DUB series earphones could play a key role in expanding HMD’s presence beyond smartphones and into everyday audio accessories.
