At the 2024 Samsung Developer Conference, the most exciting announcement was the upcoming One UI 7 based on Android 15. Set to launch in early 2025, with a beta release later this year, One UI 7 brings a fresh UI redesign, more customization options, and enhanced AI integration that adapts contextually based on location and surroundings.
Samsung also revealed advancements in Tizen OS with on-device AI capabilities, offering a more personalized and responsive experience, seamlessly integrated with the broader Galaxy ecosystem. This AI will allow users to control devices effortlessly and complete tasks on the go.
Even household appliances like refrigerators and vacuum cleaners are getting smarter. AI Vision in refrigerators will track what’s inside and suggest relevant recipes, while AI Floor Detect will make vacuums more efficient. Additionally, Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem will introduce Home Insight, which uses AI to optimize home management by analyzing real-time data and patterns.
Samsung’s AI advancements also extend to Bixby, enabling advanced voice control without the need for wake-up commands. AI features on smart displays and TVs will enhance content recommendations, upscaling, and real-time customization through generative AI.
