At Samsung’s Developer Conference (SDC), the company officially introduced One UI 7. While many expected the new interface to be released this month, Samsung announced that it will arrive next year. Despite the delay, we got a sneak peek at the Galaxy S24 Ultra running the upcoming OS.
A short clip showcased a few notable features, including redesigned icons and a new command center accessed with a swipe from the right side of the screen—similar to what you see on Chinese phones and iPhones. Notifications can now be accessed with a swipe from the left.
The clip also highlighted updated animations, though these may still evolve before the final release. The settings menu has been slightly redesigned but remains familiar overall. While the release is a bit further off, these early glimpses give us a good idea of what’s to come with One UI 7.
