Samsung is gearing up to announce the entry-level Galaxy A16 in both 4G and 5G versions, expected to launch in December. Leaks have now revealed the detailed specs of both variants, confirming what we can expect from these upcoming A-series phones.

As suggested by their names, the Galaxy A16 4G and A16 5G are almost identical, with the key difference being their chipsets:
- The Galaxy A16 5G will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 SoC in Europe, while some regions, such as Southeast Asia, are expected to get the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 version.
- The Galaxy A16 4G, on the other hand, will feature MediaTek’s Helio G99 SoC, continuing from its predecessor.
Both phones share similar specs beyond the chipset:
- Display: 6.7-inch Super AMOLED, FHD+ resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
- Cameras: 50MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro modules.
- Battery: 5,000 mAh battery with 25W charging.
- Memory: Both models come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with support for microSD card expansion.
Samsung is also promising up to 6 years of Android updates and security patches, making these devices a good long-term investment.
